How does it compare
Herman Miller Mirra
Very easy to assemble and sits amazing.
Awesome chair! Loose arm rests
Awesome chair, strong lumbar support and perfectly meets my needs of long sits, as I’m working from home! The chair was super easy to put together, and is very sturdy. My only gripe is the armrests wiggle side to side, despite the bolts being completely fastened. I don’t mind it, but if it does become an issue I figure I will loctite the connection of the arm rests to the base of the chair
Good in some areas, serious flaws in others
I purchased the chair because I thought the design online was modern and sleek -- it is, and i think the styling of the chair is fantastic. You can tell that Knead took a lot of time to design the seamless adjustment levers/sliders. Their armrests are great too! I see some reviews saying that they are too hard, but I actually don't find myself having that problem -- they are firm, but highly adjustable. The material is also nice, easy to clean, and seems like it would hold up. But there are some serious flaws in the design of the chair. The biggest on my list is the aggressive lumber support found on the chair. I did not expect this to be the case even after doing my research on the chair -- you can not tell from the pictures, since the only direct support looks like the small sliding piece on the back, but that is not the case. In between the two layers of fabric for the backrest are very aggressive back hugging supports, and I have to say they make the chair largely uncomfortable. There is absolutely no way to adjust this aspect as they are built into the back of the chair and they are so rigid that they make sitting in the chair for long periods of time unbearable. The other serious design flaw is the headrest attachment -- it seems like a serious after thought. For example, attaching the headrest requires clipping it onto the chair in a way that wedges between the fabric of the backrest in a way that seems to contort it in a way it should not be. I like the concept of this chair a lot -- but the execution was seriously lacking in the regards I explained, and though it is cheaper than Steelcase, Herman Miller, or Haworth I still find it unacceptable for a $500 chair.
The chair is comfy.
