Genuinely a wonderful chair
This is genuinely a wonderful chair. Highly adjustable, incredibly comfortable, quality build- everything you could want or need from a piece of furniture you may find yourself spending 8+ hours a day in. After a few weeks of use I'm getting significantly more benefit out of the 4D armrests and adjustable seat position than I initially thought I would- I find myself changing the arm rests and seat position depending on what I'm doing ( I tend to use different seating positions depending on whether I'm working or gaming ). I'm around 6' tall and 145 lbs. , and for me the sliding lumbar support hits my lower back perfectly- I was concerned about this since I made my purchase " sight unseen", but am pleasantly surprised. Another nice surprise is that the fabric on both the seat and the back seem to be pet friendly, in the sense that my Labrador's hair brushes right off with my hand- no need for lint rollers or the like. Definitely an unexpected " perk"! The only nitpicky things I can think to mention are: -The 4D armrests have a small amount of play in them, but not enough to be annoying or inconvenient by any means. -I have brand new carpet, which is high pile. So the gas cylinder (?) that protrudes from the base of the chair dragged a bit. On hard wood, lower pile carpet, or older carpet, it would be a non issue. The cylinder is high quality , it just sits a bit low. I replaced the stock caster wheels with rollerblade style, which raised the height of the base by an inch or so- problem solved! *Even before I replaced the wheels, my friends who gave the chair a whirl complimented how easily the chair rolled and spun- I'm just picky since I spend so much time in this seat. All in all, 5/5- I am so glad I took a leap of faith on this chair and didn't A- Expand my budget, B- Buy used/refurbished, C- Compromise and buy an inferior product on a smaller budget. P.S The co-founder of the company confirmed that a headrest will be available soon.
Perfect for a programmer
I'm a programmer and easily sit at my desk for 8-10 hours everyday. Coming from an Ikea Markus chair, this has been a game changer. Tons of adjustments to get the chair working the way you like it even down to tuning the tension in how the seat reclines. The back locks in several positions so I can keep it upright when writing code or lock it into a full recline when I'm lounging. Incredible value at this price and the best purchase I've made since working from home for over a year now.
Ordered the chair on Monday and received it on Wednesday. It was well packaged in the box although it was clear that Fedex threw it around a bit. Really easy to assemble and took no more than 5 minutes. The only part that requires tools are putting the screws to install the arms. Day 1 of using it and there is zero tiredness in my legs and back.
Well worth the money
Took a gamble with Knead and it paid off! I usually wouldn't buy something online from a new company but seeing that they were former Steelcase employees (the chairs my office uses and I loved) I decided to give them a try. This chair was everything and more than what I hoped for. I tend to slouch a lot so the prominent lower back support helps straighten me out.
Beautiful design and feels way more premium than I expected at this price. Lots of adjustments including sliding the seat in and out, height of the chair, tension in the back and locking the chair into one of four positions. The only drawback is that I wish the arms would come closer because I'm on the smaller side. I can get them into a position that just supports my elbow but if they came in closer then I could make sure of the entire armpad. For the money though, it's an easy buy.
